$6 worth of daffodils
Oh, man. They bloomed!
This could be a prescription for pretty much everything that ails you in life. I always forget about daffodils as cut flowers, but these are pretty sensational, and cheerful, and sunny. (edited to add: they started to fade after a week and a half, which even gives them the win over tulips, which tend to last 6-8 days.)

On my own
After a few weeks where my planned Wednesday evening out didn’t work at all, this week I left earlier. I headed off with my laptop and some yarn – it took me a good half hour to leave the house, and then I didn’t have the slightest idea what to go do or where to go. How ridiculous. In hindsight, I realized I should have gone for a run, it was a perfect evening for it, but since I didn’t have clothes or shoes, I parked at the park to enjoy this sunset and crochet a small flower. 🙂
Then to Metropolitan Market to eat dinner and write blog posts until Kevin called me back home. I need to get better at this – a break is good.
