By the time nap was over, the bottle was drunk, and we found our way back into snow clothes, it was twilight. Kevin came out to join us with one of his fancy lenses – I’m so glad because the picture is as spectacular as it looked in real life.

Falling snow
People were all a flutter with the news of impending snow last week, so it was very exciting when it started to snow on Sunday morning. The huge backyard trees look spectacular with a few inches of snow.

And the ones in the distance look even prettier.

Naptime was especially peaceful today – there’s something about falling snow that just hushes out all the noise (the real kind and the busy kind).
PS. With potentially great timing, I finished a new hat for Kevin. He’s still wearing the one I knit for him in 2004, even though it’s shrunk and has seen better days. The yarn is a repeat – the same I used for the bottom of the acorn hat for the kiddo. I liked the color too much not to reuse.
